In Super Mario Galaxy, during battles with Bowser, Mario must first make him Ground Pound specific spots on the planetoid the battle takes place on, whereupon Bowser’s tail will catch on fire. Performing a spin attack against his tail will cause him to start sliding around the planetoid on his shell, whereupon more spin attacks need to be performed to actually deal a hit to him.
While Bowser is sliding around, the music actually changes briefly. A new layer of quick, high-pitched notes is added to the track. During gameplay, this always lasts for only a few seconds, making it impossible to hear the entirety of the track in this state without interruption. Here is the full “Bowser sliding around” track.
